The Resilience is one of Spyderco's largest knives, weighing in at 154 grams. With a total length of 23.8 cm when the knife is open and 13.3 cm when closed, this knife offers very good cutting performance and high quality materials and construction for a more than affordable price.
Its 8Cr13MoV steel blade and straight profile has a full-size cutting edge, which runs from the tip of the blade to the handle (10.8 cm).
The Spyderco Resilience handle is G-10 and houses two cast stainless steel liners, the Walker LinerLock, a phosphor bronze screw and washer construction around the pivot to provide smooth, resistance-free opening and closing.
How does the Walker LinerLock® razor lock work?
The Walker LinerLock® locking system was developed by knife maker Michael Walker and is operated by a spring that runs inside the handle parallel to the blade. When opening it, the spring exerts pressure, fitting into the rear part of the blade, in the ramp of the spike, and preventing it from closing again. To fold it, the user must manually push it out, releasing the blade.
