Tessaiga (鉄砕牙) is a legendary sword in the anime and manga series Inuyasha. It was left to Inuyasha by his father, Inu no Taisho, and is probably the second most important item in the series as a large part of the story centers around this weapon1. Tessaiga is a sword made from a tusk of Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru's father, Inu-no-Taishô. It first appears in episode 61. The sword is not only used for battle, it is also used to seal Inuyasha's demon blood.
