Wolverine Airsoft is definitely the setting bar and pushing the limits of airsoft with their new MTW Modular Training Weapon. This model comes with a 14.5" CNC aluminum barrel and a 13" M-Lok rail with a proprietary mounting system. The mounting system has been developed to allow compatibility with both real steel and airsoft type rails without modification. Wolverine plans to release 7, 10.3, 14.5, and 18 inch CNC aluminum barrels that can be swapped around to further customize the gun.

The GEN 2 Inferno installed in the MTW features a revolutionary single solenoid, independent poppet and nozzle design that sets a new standard for a drop in kit. Particularly, it is designed to solve the "open bolt problem". It is a hybrid design which keeps the advantages of an open bolt system: easy tuning, no first round dry fire, efficiency, etc... and adds the simplicity of easier hop up tuning that closed bolt systems have traditionally offered. In addition, it further improves the efficiency over Wolverine's previous systems by an estimated 10-15%.

The MTW is suitable for airsoft players and real steel firearm enthusiasts who wish to use their parts they may already own. This model is cross compatible with AEG parts and real steel external parts allowing users the ability to customize the airsoft gun toward their desire. The rifle can use almost all AEG type magazines, and includes a Wolverine Airsoft magazine that can utilize the bolt catch and empty mag detection. The hop up can be replaced with many aftermarket AEG units. A custom rotary hop up is installed in the airsoft gun to ease the adjustment and increase performance.

The MTW is compatible with real steel AR grips, stocks, takedown pins, trigger guard, buffer tubes, and more. The rifle also has bolt on compatibility with Wraith CO2 stock, Wraith AERO (tank) stock, and QUAKE recoil stock. Each system assembled & installed by a certified Wolverine Airsoft tech. Each gun is thoroughly tested, shot, and checked by Wolverine Airsoft tech before shipped. Overall, the Wolverine Modular Training Weapon pushes airsoft pneumatic systems to the next step as it removes the boundaries from the restrictions on aftermarket parts available and allows the design to incorporate HPA platforms.
