PAGO SEGURO

Opinel's French developers have developed the No. 10 with the aim of allowing cuts on hard materials, quite large surfaces and rough textures. In addition, it combines high-performance materials, such as Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel or the natural material of the handle.

Sandvik 12C27 steel
For the manufacture of the blade of this Opinel Nº10 Stainless, a type of anticorrosive steel has been used thanks to the addition of chromium, which does not require any special maintenance. In addition, it has a high carbon content of at least 0.40% to obtain an excellent sharpness as a result.

This material has a fine carbide microstructure to improve its high performance in relation to wear resistance. Its specific composition is 0.40% carbon, 13.5% chromium, 0.40% silicon and 0.40% manganese. Its hardness will reach 55HRC.

Viroblock lock
The Opinel No. 10 knife incorporates a security system patented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, which consists of a security ring made of stainless steel, so it will be resistant to contact with ferrous elements and also to all kinds of hostile environments.

This technology consists of a fixed part and a sliding part, and is capable of performing the locking action both when the knife is open and when it is closed. The user will be able to make all kinds of cuts without any risk, and will also be able to transport the piece without risk of accidental opening.

Clip Point blade style
Opinel's French developers have developed a Bowie-style steel blade, which forms a very fine point, ideal for piercing objects or textures. In addition, this knife profile allows for increased control and strength by the user.

The cutting edge is straight, so the work surface is maximized and good results are obtained in large cuts, in a much cleaner way. The combination of the blade profile together with the characteristics of the edge make this small-sized knife a powerful weapon.

Beech wood scales
French designers use this type of material frequently to develop the ergonomic handles of their knives, just like the Inox Nº10. The appearance of this natural wood has a homogeneous appearance and is recognizable by its presence with irregular grains.

The handle is varnished to be better protected against moisture and dirt. In addition, the structure is completely ergonomic, so it will respond effectively to the fatigue produced by constant use of the knife, as well as in extreme environmental conditions.
