The Desert Tech SRS is an exceptional bullpup sniper rifle that has made waves in both the world of real steel and airsoft by its licensed manufacturer Silverback. The long awaited A2 version is here and it is a huge improvement over the previous A1 version.
One of the notable improvements seen on the A2 is its rail system, now featuring a slim MLOK rail which greatly improved weight reduction and opened up the rifle to a whole new world of attachable accessories. Lightening the rifle is a major theme here, as the chassis is also lighter than previous generations due to the updated manufacturing process and lessons learned from the SRS Lightweight Edition. In general, the A2 versions are on average 20% lighter than previous generations and the 22 "version is approximately 25% lighter (A1 3.35 KG / A2 2.5 KG).
At the lighter weight, Silverback did not back down in rifle performance, but added high-quality-of-life upgrades to a tried and tested system that has received many awards, including Popular Airsoft's Player's Choice Awards for Best Sniper. Some of the updates added are a quick jump adjustment system that is pre-installed and can be used out of the box and a damped spring guide. Not to mention, you'll get the same consistency and accuracy as the Silverback SRS line of rifles.
Internally, the rifles are simple and easy to maintain. The assembly of the pistols is similar to the A1, which means that changing the barrel, replacing or updating the bolt and updating the jump are just as easy.
